| Al Ferruggiaro’s interest in purebred dogs began as a teenager by competing in Junior
Showmanship. His interest continued into adulthood with breeding AKC Champion
Lakeland and Norwich Terriers for the last 35+ years. Al is a Past-President of the Norwich Terrier Club of America and the United States Lakeland Terrier Club and serves as Show Chair for an All-Terrier show and two All-Breed shows. He serves as a Delegate to the American Kennel Club. The AKC has approved Al to judge the Terrier, Hound, Toy and Non-Sporting Groups as well as breeds in the other three Groups and Best in Show. He judges regularly throughout the US including the Westminster Kennel Club, Morris & Essex, AKC National Championship, and 6 times at the Montgomery County All-Terrier show. He has judged the Lakeland Terrier National Specialties of the US, Canada, and the UK. He has judged all-breed shows in Australia, Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, and the UK. |
