| My family raised and showed Samoyeds. My father was an all-breed professional handler as I was growing up. I became an AKC licensed all-breed handler and handled dogs professionally for many years. In 1999 I began judging. I have owned dogs from each of the seven groups within AKC and have shown and finished champions from each group. My husband & I became active in obedience when we got our first Pug in 1965. We showed in conformation and obedience and rally and put titles on many Borzoi and Pugs. We got our first Borzoi in 1967. He became a champion and had a Utility degree in obedience. (One of the very first with duel titles) We are lifetime members of the Borzoi Club of America. I have been the chairperson of the Pug Dog Club of America judge’s education committee for several years until 2017.I have been honored with Life Membership in the Pug Dog Club of America. I was a founding member of the Northern California Pug Club founded in 1988 and a lifetime member of the Gavilan Kennel Club, our local all-breed kennel club. I am currently approved by the American Kennel Club to judge; Hound group, working group, Toy group, Non-sporting group, along with the Miscellaneous breeds, Best in Show and all breed Junior Showmanship. |
