Biography |

I purchased my first Miniature BROWN Poodle in 1969. I bred my first litter in 1972 and went to my first dog show and my pick of litter was Reserve Winners Dog ... that was the beginning to my dog show life! In the record books I have bred 77 Miniature Poodle Champions in 20+ years with partner Monroe McIntyre of DAKTARI POODLES. In Toy Poodles I have been co-owner and showed with Ianthe Bloomquist of world famous BALIWICK!
Over 100 Champions and still breeding and showing! "APOGEE" – a life time! Breeding Brown, Black and Apricots in Miniatures and Black and Browns in Toys. Nancy attended her first Poodle Club of America show in 1975 showing two Poodles and placing with both of them. Have been all these years as a BREEDER-OWNER handler ... She applied to judge and was approved in 1998. She judged the 2000 National Miniatures and in 2003 judged the Toy Poodles at the National. She judged Best of Breed in 2021. In 2023 Nancy judged the Poodle Club of America 4-6 month puppy classes and the largest entry in history! Judging the puppy classes WAS the most fun... I have judged several National specialties of all in the three groups that I judge ..always an HONOR to be invited to judge. She was elected to serve on the Poodle Club of America serving 5 terms of 10 years. Again was nominated for 2nd term now serving. She was appointed by Poodle Club of America to Judges Education and is still in charge of this position. Nancy currently is licensed to judge the Terrier, Toy and Non-Sporting breeds and Groups plus 10 breeds in the Working Group. She is licensed to judge Best in Show and limited Junior. She has been on a number of Show Committees and has been Show Chairman for all-breed clubs, PCA Regional, and Poodle Specialty clubs. She has judged in many countries around the world, including England, Denmark, Japan, China, Sweden and Hong Kong. As Nancy says, LIFE IS GOOD! |
