| I have owned and exhibited German Shepherd Dogs for over fifty years. Surigo
Shepherds have been exhibited in conformation, obedience, tracking, and herding,
worked as service, search, and rescue dogs as well as assistance dogs. I owned and
exhibited the first German Shepherd bitch to be awarded the Award of Excellence and
ROM title by the GSDCA, bred and owned eighteen American Champions, seven
Canadian Champions, and obtained eleven Select Titles. I served as President of The
American German Shepherd Dog Charitable Foundation for thirteen years and as
Director for five years. I served several years as chairperson for the GSDCA Junior
Showmanship Program. Judging German Shepherds for twenty-eight years is one the most enjoyable activity I have experienced in dogs. I presently judge the Herding Group, Working Group, Non- Sporting Group, Miscellaneous Group, several Sporting Breeds, Junior Showmanship, and BIS. I have judged in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China. I attended Crufts Dog Show in 2003 and the German Sieger Show in 2004 and 2005. I judged Best of Breed at the 2012 German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada National Specialty and Bitches at the 2016 German Shepherd Dog Club of America National Specialty. I am a member of the German Shepherd Dog Club of America, German Shepherd Dog Club of Canada, and Life member of the Grand Canyon German Shepherd Dog Club, Scottsdale Dog Fanciers, and Phoenix Field & Obedience. I belong to the American Dog Show Judges, Dog Judges Association of America, Senior Conformation Judges Association, Western Dog Judges Association of America, Scottsdale Dog Judges Workshop, Working Dog Club of Arizona, Stewards Club of Arizona, and Oregon Dog Judges. I have attended many educational seminars and Institutes including the AKC and ACEF Judging Institutes, the AKC and ACEF Advanced Herding Institutes, the AKC and ACEF Advanced Working Institutes, the AKC Advanced Non-Sporting, the AKC Advanced Sporting Institute, the ACEF Advanced Toy Institutes, American Dog Show Judges Advanced Institute for eleven years studying Herding, Working, Sporting, and Non- Sporting breeds. |
