| I am from a country farm where we bred and showed horses successfully for many years. I began showing Maltese in 1972 having bred and owned many Champions and Best in Show winners. My Maltese, both homebred and owned, have won numerous All Breeds, Specialty and Toy Club Shows throughout Australia. I owned and exhibited Australia's top winning Maltese, Australian Champion Sweetemper Sensation who retired with almost 30 Best in Shows. I also owned, bred and successfully exhibited numerous Japanese Chin. Over the past 20+ years I have owned numerous Lowchen with many Best in Show winners. I have handled various breeds to wins in the show ring including, American Cocker Spaniels, Australian Silky Terriers, Chihuahuas, Chinese Crested Dogs, Papillons, Pekingese, Pomeranian to mention a few. I am an licensed ANKC and FCI All Breeds Judge gaining my first licence in 1998, and an accredited assessor for conformation trainee judges. I have judged in all states of Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, Philippines, Thailand, Canada and Singapore. I have judged numerous Specialty breed shows in several states of Australia, namely, Chihuahuas, Maltese, Lowchen, Cocker Spaniel (English). In my 50+ years in the fancy, I have held numerous positions on All Breeds and Breed Clubs. Currently I am a member of the Dogs West Open Day Expo working party. The Open Day is now a significant event on the Dog West calendar and my task is to coordinate the merchandise and breed exhibitor stalls, now over 140 stalls. I am a deputy Governing Councillor and Chair of the Celebration of the Best, a prestigious Dogs West event for the best Neuter, Puppy and Show Dog of the Year in WA. I have retired from the workplace and with my husband and friends I enjoy many activities, particularly travelling, and have always been physically active. We live in Perth the capital of Western Australia. |
