| Randy purchased his first toy poodle in 1966 with his lawn mowing money when he was 12 years old; brred
his first litter a year later, and went to his first dog show in 1968. He has bred approximately 65 champions including Poodles, Dachshunds, Norfold Terrriers and Chihuahuas. Randy and his husband, Dennis McCoy,bred the top winning black poodle ever (all varieties) Ch. Randenn Tristar Affirmation. Known as Yessie, she won 103 all breed BIS. Dennis and Randy finished more than 1,000 champions and won over 500 all breed BIS. They also showed the top winning Non-Sporting dog in his history, Ch. Lake Cove That's My Boy with 169 all breed BIS and his grandfather Ch. Whisperewind On A Carousel with 105 all breed BIS. "Peter" was BIS at Westminster in 1991. Team Randenn piloted Ch. Spotlight's Spectacular, a Delmation, to 66 all breed BIS making her the top winning Dal of all time. His first champion, about 1970, was a standard long dachshund. Her name was Ch. Delldach's Typhoon SL bred by Eunice Huffman. Randy also owned, bred and showed mini wires. They were house pets and truly adored! Randy began judging in 2000 and is approved for five groups. A very popular arbiter in the US, he has also judged in Canada, Mexico, Columbia, Brazil, Argentina, Sweden, Japan, China and Australia. He feels honor and pride of being on the board of Take the Lead for many years. |
