| FCI All Breed International Judge
I began to venture into the world of Dog Shows in 1976 invited by my friend Rafael de Santiago, President of the FCPR, also of the FCI. For many years I handled Boxers, Whippets, Salukis,Pekingese, Italian Greyhound, Great Danes and owned and handled Smooth and Longhair Dachshunds, and other breeds including Afghan Hounds, acquiring my first Afghan hound which was bred by the late Sunny Shay, at that moment I realized my deep love for sight hounds. At the end of 1979 I met my first Saluki, who also belonged to Sunny Shay and there my love for this wonderful breed, did not acquire my first Saluki until 1991 from well-known Coppercrest kennels. In the year 1996, I received my first invitation to judge and have done so in many countries including Australia, Canada, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, México and others. In 2009 was invited to Canada to judge the Saluki National and the Bouvier des Flandres National, in 2010 to Australia to judge the Sydney Sighthound Specialty, Rhodesian Ridgeback Regional and again in 2018 for the Saluki Club of South Wales, breeds at the 4P's club and finals of the Sighthound Association Specialty. With my partner Maria Elsa Pérez T., we started Shaman Salukis in 1993 since then we have bred many Venezuelan, International and American champions also some acquired championships from several other countries. From these 2 litters we had 1 Multi BIS champion with 7 titles including World'97 champion, Top Sighthound in Venezuela in 1996 and 1997 and 1999 and then his son was the BIS at the "Purina Ranking 2002" Judged by an FCI All Breed Judge out of the 49 top Venezuelan Dogs of that year. In 2000 acquired my first Standard Smooth Dachshund from the famous Rose Farm's kennel, he went to earn BIS in many countries. I then acquired my Standard Longhair Dachshund also Rose Farm bred 2 beautiful girls, "Salt" fi nished by 15 months from the bred by class and was No.1 LH Dachshund for AKC BBOH 2012, "Sugar" won many BOB and Grp placements too, they were 2 multiple breed winners. Love my Salukis and Dachshunds. |
