| I obtained my first show dog, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi in 1973 and have been involved with
the breed ever since. We breed on a limited basis under the Breconmohr prefix in
conjunction with my good friend Shaneen Bendixen. During this time, we have bred and owned numerous Champions which have been very successful at Specialty and All Breeds level winning multiple Best in Shows. I began my judging career in 1980 and over the ensuing years obtained my All-Breeds championship licence in 1996. I have judged in all States of Australia as well as New Zealand, South Africa, Philippines, Indonesia, South Korea, Thailand, Japan, China, the USA and the United Kingdom. In 2004 I judged Pembroke Welsh Corgi dogs at the West of England Corgi Assn specialty in the United Kingdom. I have judged in the USA on a number of occasions at Specialty and All Breeds level. I was honoured to judge Dogs and Best of Breed at the Pembroke Welsh Corgi National in 2013. I was also very honoured to judge Pembroke Welsh Corgis at Crufts in 2015, an unforgettable experience. I have an active involvement in club administration in Queensland and have been the President of the Welsh Corgi Club of Queensland since 1993 and was Secretary prior to this. I am also a Life Member of the Welsh Corgi Club of Queensland Inc. I am also a member of the Conformation Judges Committee which is responsible for training and licencing conformation judges in Queensland. |
