Biography
I never had pets growing up. That changed in one day when my husband snuck a full grown, 8-year-old briard into the house while I was at work. Our children, of course, fell in love with Sterling, and I had no choice but to accept a new family member. A year or so later, we also adopted a briard puppy. That meant obedience classes. It took several years and many hours of training but the puppy and I eventually earned a CD.

Once I did that, I was determined to go farther. With that briard and subsequent briards, we titled in open and utility. One girl, aptly named “One for the Books,” even earned an AKC OTCH - the first briard to do so - and when rally was adopted into the sport, a Rally Excellent. Having come that far, I decided it was time for me to give back to the dog community and thus became an obedience and rally judge.

Several years ago, I was introduced to Shelties and now have two fantastic girls, Penny and Nickel, both from Canada. They are at the beginning of their careers in obedience and rally and are looking forward to participating in trials.
