| In November 1988, after attending a dog show, I became a CKC member and obtained lifetime member status in 2019.
I purchased my first show Afghan Hound in 1989. I have been exhibiting dogs since 1990. Although, I mainly exhibit Afghan Hounds (mine and other owners’), over the years I have exhibited several breeds including, but not limited to: NSDT Retrievers, Irish Setters, Vizslas (Wire-haired), Wire-Haired Pointing Griffon, Basenjis, Dachshunds (Standard Long and Standard Smooth), Irish Wolfhounds, Whippets, Doberman Pinschers, Russell Terriers, Chinese Crested, Italian Greyhounds, Pekingese, Australian Shepherds and Belgian Shepherds. I handled numerous dogs through their Canadian and American championships. Through the years, many of the dogs I showed were awarded several BIS, SBIS and RBIS. In 1998, I took second place at the George Alston Handling Seminar. In 2003, I started holding conformation classes. Due to venue availability, I held those classes on and off, until I found a permanent venue in 2011. Ever since, I hold these classes regularly during the off-show season. In 2003, I also started stewarding for different Clubs. In 2007, I won an Award of Merit at the prestigious Westminster Kennel Club with a blue Afghan named Ego. In 2014, the late Ray Smith asked me to hold a judge's seminar on Afghan Hounds. Since 2015, I have been serving on the Conformation Council as the Senior Conformation representative for Quebec (Zone 3). I am a founding member and Treasurer of the All Hound Club of Quebec.
